My Prayer

This song has been on my mind tonight and has brought a few tears as i have hummed and sang through out the house.  As the Lord continues to convict, break, and sand me down this is my prayer.

Have thine own way Lord, Have thine own way! Though art the potter i am the clay. Mold me and make me after thy will, while i am waiting yielded and still.
Have thine own way Lord, Have thine own way, Search me and try me Master today. Whiter than snow Lord wash me just now, as in thy presence humbly i bow.
Have thine own way  Lord, Have thine own way, wounded and weary help me i pray. Power all power surely is thine, touch me and heal me Savior divine.
Have thine own way Lord, have thine own way, Hold oer my being absolute sway. Filled with thy spirit till all shall see, Christ only always living in me!
Bro. David L sermon tonight was good, actually i didnt like it. i guess that means i needed it the most.
Luke 18:9 The Two Men Who Prayed.

Chocolate Pie for Candise

1 Cup Sugar, heaping
2 Cups whole milk
3 eggs, divided
3 TB cocoa, i add extra
3 1/2 TB flour all purpose
Large pie crust, prepared

Mix your dry ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Mix until well blended. This cuts the cocoa and flour up
so it mixes well when put with the milk and eggs.
In a bowl mix milk, 3 egg yolks, mix with fork or whisk until egg is well blended.
Add the milk/egg mixture to the sauce pan, dry ingredients, mix with whisk.
Start to cook this slowly, dont want to put this on a hot stove top, maybe on med low.
After it starts to slowly heat up then turn the eye up to medium and stir continuously.
It will start to thicken. When thick, but just before pudding stage, take off and pour into
prepared pie crust.

Meringue-  Beat the 3 remaining egg whites until very stiff. At the end add 2-3 TB of sugar.
Continue to beat until forms peak.  Spread on top of pie and bake at 400 until the meringue
has lightly browned.  (i add cream of tartar to my egg whites, it helps the meringue to be really
stiff and makes the presentation nicer)  this is optional.

2 Corinthians 4:8

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not
abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

I love this verse. Think about the people in Haiti???  Wow, they have got to be saddened and having feelings of despair but they seem to still have a peace and joy.
I found this verse when i had feelings of not being able to go on another day because of circumstances around me. I felt pressed, crushed, perplexed, persecuted and struck down!  In the old testament people would rip their
garments as a sign of total despair when they felt nothing else could be done and all was lost. Total sadness.
Our Heavenly Father promises that He will never let us go through more than we can bear. He wont let us be crushed. Ever. But He does allow us to be pressed, thats what causes me to tap into His strength, His ways
and His love.  Thank you Jesus for pressing me right into your arms!

My 10 top things that i am thankful for.

1. My parents that set a Godly example for me. They didnt tell me, they showed me!

2. My salvation.

3. The Holy Spirit that serves as a guide for my life.

4. My afflictions. The things in my past that remind me, WARNING DO NOT REPEAT! My limp, My thorn.

5. Discernment, James says that if we pray for knowledge our Heavenly Father will give it to those who believe. 

6. My church family, brothers and sisters in Him. We are blood kin because of His blood!! I Love that.

7. My 3 precious children.

8. My extended family

9. My God fearing, God loving, bible believing earthly role model, Aunt Betty, who tells me the truth about myself. yuck.

10.God using me, a once not available vessel. 

Surprise midnight text!

My phone was dingin about 11:00 last night, I finally got woke up enough to look at my phone. Wow it was Candise Brown sharing her excitement with us out here in la la sleep land. She finally finished her baby girl room! Her text message sent us to her new blog! My eyes were doing the sleepy watering thing but I proceeded to look at her newly finished baby room and about an hour later I had not been able to put my phone down! It was like a great book! I read her entire blog. She is sooo funny. I told her she should be called candid Candise. Ha

so, with all that being said, I am gonna start a blog, I don't do face book but I thought this would be perfect! Thanks Candise!
